Hospital Cafeteria: usually open until 6 PM on weekdays and 3 PM on weekends

Resident Lounge/Call Rooms:
Located on the 3rd floor in the Critical Care Tower. There are a big fridge, water cooler, microwave, TV, computers, lockers, and gym equipment in the lounge.
Call rooms are assigned to each residency program (FM, Gen Surg etc) and there are some general ones. Your program administrator will provide you with the codes to open them. They are located past the door for the resident lounge, so you will need an ID badge.
Computer:
There are 2 computer stations in resident lounge, and 4-6 computers at the library. Residents will have access to these 24/7.
There are also phones in every call room, as well as 1 phone in the resident lounge and 2 phones at the library.
Library:
The Library is on the 3rd floor of the Critical Care tower, right beside the Call Rooms and Residents have access 24/7. There is one librarian at the library Tues-Friday 8am-4pm.

Parking at the hospital: North, South, East & Critical Care Tower Parkade
Cost: $5.95/day or $45/month, about $500/year

No street parking anywhere close by
Bikes:
There are public bike racks in front of the main entrance of the hospital.
Public Transit:
There are several buses that come by. See Translink for full details.
There is a bus stop in front of the hospital and a skytrain station very close by.
Intra-Hospital Shuttle:
Shuttle from/to: King George skytrain station to SMH and JPOCS outpatient clinic.
For some rotations, for example, General Surgery Residents are required to travel between SMH and JPOCS outpatient clinic in one day.
ID badges are required to access resident lounges and resident bathrooms/locker rooms.
Parking lots get very full after 8:45 am which may mean you will have to park where the pass is not valid and pay out of pocket.
There are staff bathrooms on every ward, ask your PCC or a nurse for the access code.
